Mesa Tactical 6-round SureShell Polymer Sidesaddle For All Remington 870 Shotguns w/ Heat Shield

"what use are your shells if they aren't near you?"

The principle difference between one model of SureShell and another, aside from capacity, is the backing plate, which is designed to mount the carrier assembly on a particular model of shotgun. Side-mount SureShell shotshell carriers for Mossberg , Remington and use the trigger group pin holes to secure the assemblies to the weapon.

-Hold 6 shotgun shells. 12 gauge only.
-High-Impact Polymer Construction. (a lighter version over the aluminum model)
-US Made in Nevada.

-Easily accessible ammunition. Ergonomic and fast reloading.

-Works on all Remington 870 shotguns
-Virtually indestructible polymer sun resistant/drop-proof.

About the shield:

-Made of virtually indestructable Plasticote Zytel Fiberglass

-Made By XTA Tactical in Texas.

-Will not scratch barrel like metal heat shields will.

-Fits ALL Smooth barrel lengths, including 18 inch barrels.

-Will not add noticeable weight to your gun.

-Will not rust.

-Will not melt.

-When it comes to heat shields, plastic fiberglass is BETTER!

-Plasticote Fiberglass conducts heat 10X less than metal heat shields.

-Simple 2-minute installation with included hardware (see photo for positioning behind retainer).

-Perfect for active handling and tactical/military applications.

-Will not fit short "Breacher" model shotguns or  Heavy Barrel model .

-Also fits a Pardner great!

-This model has a rear retaining ring for the shield to specifically fit Remington shotguns.  Do NOT buy from other sellers that sell the shield WITHOUT the back retaining ring! These other shields are made for Winchester!

Some shotgun user say heat shields are intended for looks and others say that the Remington heat shield is intended to keep your hand from getting burned on the off chance that your hands come in contact with the barrel. A few shotguns will heat up rapidly, particularly in the wake of shooting various rounds.

While it is discretionary to introduce a Remington heat shield on your shotgun, it may be probably the best thing to have on your gun for your own safety and durability of your gun. Just make sure you choose our top quality heat shields for the barrel of your gun that compliments it in the look as well as protects it from extra heat.
